Atelier I-N-D-J designed "NEBULA" for MZLY in Wuhan, an art installation that connects the nostalgic past against a glistening shock of the new.  As a venue with a long history of theatrical performances, MZLY in Wuhan has attracted many renowned actors from both China and abroad since its establishment. Installation Prior at Concéntrico 08 loosely connects neuro scientific disciplines with the design of play structures

Prior at Concéntrico 08 is an installation from SKULL studio that loosely connects observations from neuroscientific disciplines with the design of play structures.  Bet Orten   Research into the learning process has determined that the effectiveness of learning is multiplied when it occurs outside of one’s comfort zone. Adaptation to new stimuli encourages play, learning, and the even perception of artwork.  Bet Orten   In this installation, vibrant colours arranged in an irregular rhythm appear to vibrate alongside a dynamic and unusual combination of forms. The combination generates a reaction that initiates and stimulates the adaptation process of those interacting.  Bet O... More

Holiland Concept Store - DAS Lab

Medium is important communication tool in the history of business. Attributed with the character of the era, it changes our way of receiving information and further helps us to develop our mind and behavior. In this project, we hope to take the interior as a medium  to deliver the messages from the spirit of Holiland, and to moderate a casual and in-deepth converstation, in a more emotional way, between the brand and the public.    From past, present to future, humans keep exploring the world of food in multiple perspectives, which stimulate continuous iteration and breakthrough in food industry; while the development of the industry and technology brings great possibility to food and our life. Such symbioatic relationship... More

AROMA, Light Installation

Aroma light installation becomes the centrepiece in the reception atrium (50 feet high) of a leading spice manufacturing company. Its design traces the journey of the process of cooking, ascribing to it a tangible, sculptural sense. The 35-feet-tall light installation is suspended from the ceiling, representing beauty in its truest form — mirror finished stainless steel balls, almost glass-like in feel, and floating ‘aroma rings’ of light keep enlarging as they spiral up and spread out. Spices and herbs are depicted as vital determinants in the making of a culinary masterpiece, as they waft gracefully from ‘vessel’ below, pervading the air with flavour and fulfilment.  The light installation essentially,... Peacock

This is a “collision” between traditional Chinese folk craftsmanship and contemporary arts. The image of Chinese peacock is expressed with the “paper flower” craft of Chinese folks. Returning to the tradition, we make Chinese folk craftsmanship embrace the contemporary arts and enter our contemporary life, awakening the authentic aesthetic nature of our native land.   I. “Peacock--Farewell Song” The huge “peacock” seems to be reborn out of the strong flames. Death means rebirth. This is the last cry from the peacock. It’s brilliant, resplendent and heroic. With its remaining strength, it flaps its huge wings for the last time to sing the last “farewell song” for us. T... More

Audemars Piguet at 2018 Art Basel

At Hong Kong’s 2018 Art Basel, Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet presented another innovative concept in the Collectors lounge. Chilean artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz presented the last in a trilogy of installations. Titled “Foundations”, Errazuriz’s immersive design for 2018 is based on iron ore, the natural resource at the heart of steel and one of the principal resources for watchmakers. Italian artist Quayola’s new photographic series, titled “Remains: Vallée de Joux” unifies the natural roots of Audemars Piguet with his own visual artistry. Together, the two artists transformed the space into a somewhat fantastical hideaway with their respective creations, which further serve as the backdrop for Audemars Piguet’s highly train... More

Audemars Piguet Shanghai Exhibition

In late 2016, I was commissioned by French artist and designer Mathieu Lehanneur to document this temporary installation sponsored by Swiss luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet. Mathieu was appointed to conceive a special installation that is made of 12 rooms, forming a large ring – an allusion to a watch dial. In the middle of the circle stands a huge rock, created from cast replicas of those found in Audemars Piguet’s home in the Vallée de Joux. Around it, twelve doors will open, each revealing a story about Audemars Piguet: from its origins to the 21st century, from watchmaking to contemporary art, from the Vallée de Joux to China. The themed rooms exhibit a close-up experience of the iconic swiss brand, linking the past to...
