Queenstown Ridge House

Perched atop its ridgeline site, this family home blends contemporary design with the rustic cues of a traditional farmstead or country home. A welcoming, parquet-floored entrance leads to a central kitchen that forms the heart of the home, and the gabled living and dining spaces beyond. John Williams Photography John Williams Photography John Williams Photography John Williams Photography John Williams Photography John Williams Photography John Williams Photography The design draws on the owner’s Scottish heritage and travels through Europe, with spaces balancing subtle texture and refined detail. Curving Modern

The most striking feature of this home are the razor-edge roof profiles and the fact that those roofs swoop both vertically and horizontally. It is really an evolution of modern design. It uses all of the typical architectural rules of modern home design and takes it to the next level. JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD The roof forms serve functions on the exterior. They overhang to provide shade during the warmer months and then create a really unique transition from the single story portion of the home to the second story. Plus, they take form in the great room with a curved ceiling form above that transitions up to the second floor, creating a timeless architectural element.  JMAD JMAD JMAD... More

Del Camino

Our Del Camino home in Arizona is a modern, multi-level home with a two-story-tall great room space surrounded by floor-to-ceiling window to make the entire home light, open and airy. This openness also creates a connection to the scenic backyard with the great room actually opening up to accommodate indoor / outdoor living. JMAD JMAD JMAD Another way we create indoor / outdoor living is with two levels of rooftop terraces – one accessed via an exterior spiral staircase. The upper level also includes an exercise room (or multifunctional space that could be an exercise room or an additional lounge space) that overlooks and is open to both the front and back of the house. Sharp

Sharp is a project of a house where every element contributes to the atmosphere of calmness and harmony with nature. Bezmirno We wanted to highlight the beauty of nature through the interaction of light and shadow, combining architecture and interior into a harmonious composition. Local flora becomes not only a decoration, but also an integral part of the soul of the house, an embodiment of the balance and tranquility we seek in our projects. Bezmirno Thanks to architectural accents, we bring nature into the house and make it the main object of the entire space. A small hole in the roof on a cozy terrace becomes the embodiment of the main concept. This element is also repeated inside the room in the form of a skylight over the d... More

Narrow House in Ahmedabad

Large plots are not essential for lavish homes, but thoughtful space planning can break the limitations of small plots making it breathable, inviting adequate natural light and ventilation. Cradled in the posh residential area of Ahmedabad, Paldi, this Narrow House is a unique example of balancing the yin and the yang of the architecture as well as interiors incorporating nature within the build forms. @panjwani.vinay @panjwani.vinay On the East of this 2,600 sq. ft. plot, lies a narrow road in the front, a common wall on the South that blocked Wind & Natural Light. This created worries in the mind of the client. Also, the plot is surrounded by neighboring bungalows with very less margins. But the experience and the expertise... More

DIM VASTU

- Philosophy: Vastu is an ancient Hindu teaching on how to properly plan and design the surrounding space. By following at least the basic and simple principles of this philosophy, you can make the surrounding space more harmonious and attract temper and abundance into your home. Vastu philosophy is associated with 5 natural elements - water, fire, air, earth and ether. The task of the architects at 33bY Architecture was to design the building and plan the space according to Vastu. Vastu used to build palaces and churches, now we build private housing for our clients.  Sergiy Kadulin Photography - Location: The site is in a wonderful location in the suburbs of Kiev, on top of a hill with direct access to the coniferous forest a... waterfall house

Take a breath. Calm yourself. And enter the Waterfall house.    Inspired by the meditative forces of nature, the Waterfall house is a modern rendition of an urban sanctuary, and home to the Vashisht family in Jalandhar, Punjab. As one approaches the house, the exterior palette leaves a lasting impression. The facade is inspired by the rocky landscape and the snow-capped mountains of upper Himalayas. Dual waterfalls mark dual entrances into the house. Much like the origination point of a river from its glacier, the waterfalls translate into grand points of initiation into the house.   The informal entry frames a view of a landscaped court just as one enters, blurring lines of separation between indoor and outdoor. The form... More

FROM SKY TO SEA

"From Sky to Sea" is the design concept for the interior of this home. We used many elements inspired by fluid air and calm seas, creating a warm atmosphere for the owners. All these details are also complemented by strategically placed lighting. The "floating" ladder, with its suspended cables, embraces and supports the design story .If in the living room we designed a furniture that combines materials such as wood, white metal and white plywood, in the kitchen we continued in the same register, using white tones as an artifice to change the height of the room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are designed with different themes, personalized for those who use them. For example, the daughter’s room is imagined as a story filled wi... More
