Gore Meadows Community Ice Rink & Events Pavilion
When ZAS Architects + Interiors reached out about photographing the ice rink at the Gore Meadows Community Centre, one of their main goals was to photograph it in winter with snow. I was immediately excited about the idea but I had no idea what was waiting for me...
A few weeks later, with a snowstorm announced on a Sunday, I scheduled the photoshoot for the following Monday, for which the forecast was sunny. When I arrived at the Community Centre just in time for sunrise, the conditions looked perfect: blue skies, a beautiful blanket of snow.... and a balmy temperature of -32C (-26F).

With Limited capacities, a new private entrepreneurial higher professional school is realised in the forma industrial district of Amsterdam Noord. Opened in 2017 and doubled in students in 2018. Both designs, the first floor in the first year and ground floor after the expansion are done by OFMAA. The rough materialisation breathes the industrial history of thebuilding and surrounding and represents the entrepreneurship of de industrialarea. It also connects to the perceptions of these young students. The ground floor is classified as the reception, discuss,brainstorm and open working space, whereas the first floor is meant for grouplessons, seminars and coaching. For two years, the new building for the Word Miracle Church International in Accra, Ghana, sat roofless. “We had built a 14,000-seat auditorium that was 59 meters across, without pillars, and we needed to cover it. But no one in Ghana could do it. No one in Nigeria could do it. No one in South Africa could do it. It was a dilemma,”
