Multi-generational care Knittelfeld

The existing state care centre in Knittelfeld, Austria, was renovated by Gem. Wohn- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Ennstal, a non-profit housing and settlement cooperative, for Volkshilfe Steiermark, a non-profit social services organisation. The work also includes a new two-storey care home and a childcare facility. Ombu Afuera Kindergarten

Users are children from 2 to 6 years old. The space and layout should make sense for them. Outdoor learning is a program or educational method which is based on the experience and contact of children with nature and the benefits this brings to their training; cognitive, social and emotionally-wise benefits. There are no official regulations for designing this “new” kind of infrastructure, so we made sure every driving concept was the result of a creative process between architect, landscape designer and teachers. Hacienda Tiburon Landscape

This sculptural garden overlooking the San Francisco Bay reflects the vision of passionate art collectors whose personal artistic vision includes the idea of the landscape being experienced and enhanced through play and exploration. As a result, their whimsical five-acre garden incorporates distinct spaces that weave together architecture and landscape, providing places for reflection, play, and discovery.   At the entrance, a folding deck projects from the house, merging the building with a landscape of magnolias, grasses, and ferns.
