House 212 by NEBR Arquitetura takes cues from its surrounding natural landscape

Set amidst the scenic rocky lands of Agreste, Pernambucana in Brazil, Casa 212, designed by NEBR Arquitetura, is a 400sqm private house that beautifully addresses the surrounding landscape.  Maíra Acayaba The white monolith combines the unique green context with modern geometry. Waikanae House II

Sustainability was a primary focus in the design of this three-bedroom, cedar home.  With views to the western slopes of the Tararua range, natural ventilation and solar gains are maximised - the open fire and wood burner are all that's required for winter heating. The design also facilitates future photovoltaic power generation. Caption Created as a low, horizontal form that follows the contours of the hill, the home was constructed in two stages. Lookout Tower at Kraličák

The lookout tower is a result of several years of collaboration with the local ski resort Kraličák. It is situated at the highest point between Hynčice and Stříbrnice on the hilltop Štvanice 866 m.a.s.l. The supposed center of the resort, on the hill in the forest amongst ski slopes. Around it is a beautiful dramatic vast landscape. The old town, a view of the entire Jeseníky mountains, on the other side, the heavily wooded hillside of Králický Sněžník where the Morava river springs from.The assignment has been fulfilled, a year-round accessible, 35 meter tall lookout tower, situated at the top station of the chair lift – the center of the resort.The tower stands here as a confident slim round obelisk. Notary Office Ghent (SDW)

This new office building along the Kortrijksesteenweg in the green Sint-Denijs-Westrem includes a notary’s office with a studio above it. The building is a solid brick volume characterized by volumetric incisions and strategically placed windows. The glass ‘lantern’ at the top of the stairwell forms a minimalist light beacon along the busy road. The front façade opens up on the ground floor through the foyer towards the street, and welcomes visitors via a forecourt. This provides a great visibility and transparency.
