Laundry room

Bringing joy to the humblest of tasks, our smallest project to date makes the most of the mundane.  Located in a low-income neighborhood in south Houston, the project services a small apartment community of blue-collar workers and immigrants.  With an eye towards community empowerment, durable and basic materials procured from nearby retailers are coupled with simple detailing to accommodate the use of resident labor. Hall The entrance group is separated from the living room by a built-in wardrobe module, which forms two passages to the room. The wardrobe is double-sided – one part is directed to the corridor, the other-to the living room. The remaining built-in cabinets are made as unobtrusively as possible to visually facilitate a narrow (1.4 meters) corridor.
