Sandwell Aquatics Centre
A community sports facility for the people of Smethwick has also hosted an international competition event.
We were appointed to design and deliver the Sandwell Aquatics Centre at a site in Smethwick. The primary aim of the project was to create a state-of-the-art leisure centre to replace older venues in the area, providing swim and sports facilities for people of all ages.

Aquapark at Cukrownia Żnin
In the huge post-industrial complex of Sugar Factory Żnin (over 40,000 m2 on 35 ha of land), the MIXD studio was responsible for the interior design of the A3 building. A large part of it is occupied by an aquapark - an ideal place for families with children to relax. In order to slightly soften the interior climate of the former production hall with 8-meter-high brick walls and a visible steel roof structure, the designers from MIXD proposed a bright, pastel interior inspired by sweets. “Although we are dealing with a post-industrial facility, we did not want to add artificially created 'industrial' elements to the original fabric of the building. Cocoon Villas, Crete
* Within the boundaries of a purely tourist settlement on the northern coast of Crete, the refurbishment of a group of 4 incomplete residences, without existing landforms, and their conversion into a complex of luxury holiday villas, led to contemporary architectural approaches in a seemingly unaltered shell, by re-developing the dialogue with the landscape at varying scales.The natural terrain, among olive trees and in sparse or no vegetation, is uphill from the road level, with a rapid incline in its middle and milder at the top, where the residences are located.Due to the limited ability of intervention in the building shells, elements that have the character of "mantle" are used, contributing to the reformation of the volume o... Master Plan Wadala Central Business District
After 4 years, Townland Consultants completed work on the Detailed Master Plan for Mumbai’s next Central Business District in Wadala, in the heart of the Maximum City. The authorities officially approved the Master Plan in 2018. The Client – the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority - will be at the helm of this 156 ha brownfield site transformation into a Mixed Use CBD with more than 4 million sqm of offices, retail, leisure, hospitality, apartments and civic facilities.
