Mortimer Road

In north London, Mortimer Road is the renovation and extension of a post-war terraced house that demonstrates how thoughtful design interventions can improve the environmental performance and liveability of an existing home. Working within the constraints of a limited budget and the original building fabric, Fanis Anastasiadis Architecture’s approach combines a rear extension, loft conversion, and comprehensive interior reconfiguration to create a brighter, more energy-efficient dwelling. Rather than relying on extensive reconstruction, the design enhances the performance of the existing structure through targeted upgrades that extend its lifespan and reduce the need for future interventions.
