Shinji Japanese
What lingers after a memorable meal isn’t always a particular detail or image. Whatoften remains is a feeling: the sense of being cared for, the intimacy of sharing space, the quiet confidence of something done exceptionally well.
Shinji emerged from an interest in translating these qualities into architecture. Ratherthan reproducing familiar visual references, the project focuses on atmosphere, material, and restraint.

Mortimer Road
In north London, Mortimer Road is the renovation and extension of a post-war terraced house that demonstrates how thoughtful design interventions can improve the environmental performance and liveability of an existing home. Working within the constraints of a limited budget and the original building fabric, Fanis Anastasiadis Architecture’s approach combines a rear extension, loft conversion, and comprehensive interior reconfiguration to create a brighter, more energy-efficient dwelling.
Rather than relying on extensive reconstruction, the design enhances the performance of the existing structure through targeted upgrades that extend its lifespan and reduce the need for future interventions.

Fulham House
This London Refurbishment by Studio 3A is a bold yet sensitive refurbishment of a Victorian semi-detached home in Fulham, London. Designed for a young family, the project transforms a dark, segmented house into a warm, light-filled space rich in materiality and character. Studio 3A reorganised and extended the plan to improve spatial flow and daylight, using natural oak, lime-washed walls, and custom joinery throughout.
