Lighthouse Restaurant: Romance in the Mountains
In Fengyi Village, Haiyan, romance is neither an overt spectacle nor an imposed aesthetic gesture. Instead, it emerges at the threshold where geological memory meets cultivated topography. Perched on a prominent ridge, the site is defined by two contrasting landscapes: rolling tea terraces sweeping across gentle slopes, and a sheer quarry cliff left by decades of stone extraction, which now overlooks an ecologically restored lake. Rather than mimicking vernacular forms or asserting dominance over the terrain, REAL Architects introduced two distinct geometric volumes to recalibrate the dialogue between ground, memory, and everyday life.

Sonoma home by Mork-Ulnes Architects is defined by a strong concrete structural framework
Overlooking the vineyards of California’s Sonoma landscape, the Frame House by Mork-Ulnes Architects is defined by a strong concrete structural framework.
Bruce Damonte
Forming a loggia that runs along three sides of the home’s exterior, the concrete frame maximizes indoor to outdoor connections and provides shade while also providing natural light and expansive deck views. The house has an extroverted relationship to the surrounding landscape, connecting the interior in almost every room to the California climate.

While materials were selected for their natural and organic look and feel, the main driver in terms of material selection was the threat of wildfire and the need for wildfire prevention... More

Sculptural ceramic volumes integrate new apartment building by Archea Associati into its Lake Maggiore context
On the banks of Lake Maggiore and a site once occupied by the headquarters of the ceramic company Pozzi-Gino, this new housing project by Archea Associati references its site history and surrounding urban fabric with a concept featuring chequerboard patterns, courtyard formations, and striking volumes clad with fragmented blue-ceramic tile.
Pietro Savorelli
The project comprises a total of four different volumes. All the buildings differ in their volumetric arrangement with faceted and bent profiles that transform building volumes into sculptural elements.

The apartment forms create an urban ambiance of two scales, one that is expansive and open towards the lake, and the other more intimate and corre... More

The ultimate in indoor and outdoor comfort
In sunny Bordeaux, life moves effortlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. However idyllic this sounds, it does pose one great risk: interiors can often get too hot, too soon. With Renson’s expertise in both outdoor living and sun protection, all measures in both of these areas are perfectly aligned in this newly built villa: uniform in look and feel but above all providing ultimate comfort for the residents, both indoors and outdoors.
Controlled indoor temperatures“Given the orientation of this house, sun protection was absolutely essential” the residents discovered after three months in their new home. “Our living room faces directly to the sun, so suitable sun protection keeps the interior cool even on the hot... More

Westgarten
This L-shaped residential development with six floors of apartments above street level stands at the junction of the relatively new urban district of Westhafen and the established Gutleutviertel district to the north. In response to this situation, the new development seeks to mediate between the distinct buildings of the new district and the late 19th/early 20th-century city-block structure of the old quarter. The generously glazed ground floor accommodates a row of shops and a café, providing a valuable function in terms of serving local shopping needs. Architecturally this mix of urban functions is reflected in a lively façade design: Bands of clinker brick parapets, continuous light-coloured cornices, the distinctive rounded corner and... More
