The new logistics centre on the 72,000 square metre site in the Kindel industrial estate, not far from Eisenach/Germany, is equipped with several detailed functionalities for incoming goods, storage, order picking, consolidation and outgoing goods.

A high-quality façade made of LAMBERTS LINIT EcoGlass serves as a reflection of the Weidmüller brand and as a light source for the operating areas. For visitors, a skywalk was constructed as an experience and threshold to the individual areas of the building. A photovoltaic system and extensive greenery in the outdoor area ensure the sustainable construction of the building.

To provide a highly efficient truck line and a new interpretation of logistic warehouse, the project aims to create a new benchmark for the next generation of such building, moving from traditional warehouses to modern fast turnover logistics infrastructure with a new perspective.The three-tier storage of the “three-dimensional stack” is one of the characteristics of the project. In order to maximize loading space, loading areas are set on both sides of the ground floor while the second and third floors are readily accessible from the street level by truck.
