Maruja
An original self-assembly pendant, Maruja was designed by the fresh-faced Gazpacho Studio—it is LZF’s first flat-pack fixture. A contemporary lamp, Maruja’s design is simultaneously unfussy and decorative. Maruja is a name whose origins lie in Galicia, and signifies both femininity and strength. The do-it-yourself Maruja is packaged with all the components needed to assemble the lamp: wood veneer strips (in several sizes), a circular frame, and pins. Maruja is easily constructed, without the need for any tools or adhesives. Estela
Estela is a captivating capsule of light. In Estela, Mayice Studio designed a clean, clear, single piece of borosilicate glass. Hand-blown by the accomplished artisan Eduardo Garuti, the glass envelopes a cylinder-like wood veneer diffuser. The wood veneer houses a dimmable LED light source, and a straight opening on one side emits downward light that is softened by the glass. Offering a seamless connection between both glass and wood, Estela is a radiant lamp with a celestial-like quality. Similar to Dune, Estela’s natural imperfections, a characteristic of hand-blown glass, add to its warmth and elegance. Each lamp is signed by the artisan, Eduardo Garuti.

Suns
Suns is a celestial-like decorative panel that acts to diffuse light and break sound. Designed by Tokyo & Valencia-based Mikiya Kobayashi, Suns is available in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Japan is affectionately known as the ‘land of the rising sun’, and in Suns we find a handmade, circular wood panel that is characterised by a quiet and respectful beauty—an inherent Japanese quality. Designed by Ray Power, Link appears exceptionally dashing in its stacked wood veneer Möbius strips. In mathematics, the Möbius strip is a surface with one continuous side, meaning the Link light is not only handsome, but discerning too.
With its billowy, cloud-like structure, Link is decidedly easy on the eye. Punctiliously crafted, the lamp’s floating form is a clever illustration of wood’s significant potential in lighting design. Link is available as a suspension lamp in three versions: small, large and modular. In addition, Link is an attractive floor lamp, its billowy mass poised on the top of a chrome tower-like base.

A restaurant in Disney Springs should be a memorable place, not just a place to eat. A space where to enjoy the food in an original and unique setting, this has been our goal: to entertain the diner while enjoying a good meal to make his stay in Jaleo an unforgettable experience. The main concept of the interior design has been to offer "a tapeo", that is to say a tasting of many small bites, with shapes, colors, chairs, lamps, images, in accordance with a typical Spanish menu.

LZF Lamps, the Spanish company specializing in wood veneer lighting, presented its new Life-Size Ltd Edition Collection at Euroluce in Milan, from 14th to 19th April. This collection of sculptural pieces is born out of the desire of LZF Lamps’ founders, Mariví Calvo and Sandro Tothill, to collaborate and innovate via daring projects with artists and craftsmen of different disciplines.
The story of the Life-Size Collection started a few years ago when Mariví and Sandro had been studying a new way of diffusing light through the use of overlapping rectangular squares of wood veneer.. Elephant is the other Funny Farm animal we chose to convert into a light sculpture. Like all elephants, it has big ears, a trunk, even its own legs, and a body standing more than a meter and a half tall.
To turn Isidro Ferrer’s vision into a large-scale lamp, LZF has again drawn on the experience of the craftsman Manolo Martin.
Just as he did with Fish, Manolo used the “vareta” technique to shape the three spheres which constitute the body and the head of Elephant. Its luminous heart, at the centre of the sculpture, is diffused through a natural wood veneer internal lining. More

Koi | huge carp made of light and wood
Koi is a huge carp made of light and wood, a spectacular light structure, half-lamp, half-sculpture.
The inspiration for this wonderful idea came from an interlacing wood system and the transparencies it produced when lit. The system, consisting in the overlaying of wooden slats as if they were fish scales, is called the “Koi Fabric”, and was used for making iluminated walls.
The result is a stunning handcrafted piece measuring more than three metres from head to tail. Koi consists of a wooden frame, constructed using traditional Valencian carpentry techniques, which supports the skin made of dozens of small wood veneer pieces.

TOTEM, THE EMBLEMATIC LIGHTTotem is a veritable feast for the senses, a light whose proportions enliven a space with dramatic effect. Envisaged by designers Mariví Calvo and Burkhard Dämmer, Totem evolved from the clever amalgamation of Dämmer’s Pod and Poppy pendants. SATURNIA
Handcrafted suspension lamp designed for LZF by the Spanish designer Oskar Cerezo, available in 3 sizes.
On the one hand, the diffused light flowing through the wood veneer creates a warm ambience, while on the other, the Plexiglas diffuser provides good lighting for work-related tasks. The medium and large models are equipped with T5 technology and the small version comes with a ring-shaped tube to ensure minimum energy consumption.
The Saturnia is ideal for direct or indirect lighting for both private and contract uses.
The lampshades are available in 11 different wood veneer finishes.
