Moradia em Alvide

The philosophical concept rests on the idea of permanence and lightness: the house is implanted in the terrain and is formed by concrete slabs as if recognizing the memory of the place, respecting its presence and integrating it as the foundation of the project. João Morgado João Morgado The garden on the slabs emerges as an inversion of the traditional concept of fertile soil. Here, nature is not merely a support, but a conquest. Vegetation settles on the concrete, creating a dialogue between the organic and the mineral, between what grows and what remains. Ponto C - Cultura e Criatividade

The Ponto C - Cultura e Criatividade project is more than just a new space in the city of Penafiel. It contributes to a transformation in the city’s urban fabric. A new entrance and a new connection with the southern area allow for structured expansion, putting aside the phrase that echoed for years as “the city split down the middle.” A renewed proximity with the historic center: what was once “the back” is now a carefully designed front, facing Praça de S. Martinho. Ivo Tavares Studio Caption Anticipating a large volumetric presence and considering the difference in topography, the building hides itself among planted greenery and magnolias. The presence of the old structure remains, giving w... More

Rehabilitation house in Estoril

In the renovation of the Estoril House, the area of intervention and the building located there represent an important reference in the historical and heritage identity in the memory and image of that place. In this sense, the intervention strategy is based on two levels:– First, in promoting the renovation/qualification of the pre-existing structure and, consequently, its revitalization, preserving theoverall image that has been built. Caption – At the same time, on the construction of a new contemporary architectural volume/object. Which incorporates part of the new program.
