Badalona Port. Property Development in Badalona

Badalona Port is a property development at Badalona's marina, developed by Grup Morales and designed by A12 Arquitectes. The architecture combines clean, modern volumes with a Mediterranean sensibility, carefully attuned to its setting between the sea, the city, and the area's growing future. Hamau Studio Hamau Studio Hamau Studio Hamau Studio Hamau Studio With over 60 years rooted in Badalona, Grup Morales wasn't just looking to sell, they wanted their communication to reflect the local trust and long-term vision they'd built over decades, positioning the development against the larger promoters entering the area. Altona Pier Redevelopment

Altona Pier is a much-loved community landmark that has played a vital role in the growth of the suburb since the 1800s. With an industrial and shipping past, today the pier is enjoyed for promenading, swimming, fishing, boating and socialising. The new geometry is crafted to provide an experiential quality and fulfill the functional brief. The main pier offers 260m of widened length, supporting increased visitor numbers, ambulance access, bikes and prams to enjoy a relaxed stroll over the water. At the end, a ‘y-junction’ resolves the dual function of vehicular turning circle and a two-prong approach to the pier head to create separate branches: the east stretching 70m to reach an existing artificial reef to support fishing and... evolving lighthouse

The use of GPS and before the LORAN system led the lighthouse to a slow obsolescence. Those still in operation are controlled remotely or remain active only in particularly delicate nodes for navigation. They are therefore becoming nostalgic objects from a past in which the sea was a mystery and the lighthouses  the guides to return home.   The construction of a lighthouse was a source of pride for a port and a city and represented an identity symbol of an entire community. Now having lost their primary function, the construction of lighthouses is almost interrupted and one wonders if it will be an architectural typology destined to remain only in the history books of architecture.   In nature only things that do not ev... Elizabeth Bay Marina

lahznimmo architects were engaged by RMS in 2016 to provide lead consultancy services for the redevelopment of the Elizabeth Bay Marina. The existing facility was is in a deteriorated condition and in need of replacement. In order to meet continued operational requirements the new facility was to be designed and constructed on a tight project time line.Set at the edge of Beare Park, the existing building footprint and height set up the immediate expectation for the scale for the new development, particularly from the neighbouring residential community. Any increase in the building form, in particular width and height, would affect views from Beare Park and the residential developments to the south. As the new buildings had to be raised by 80... Värtaterminalen, Ferry Terminal, Stockholm

10-March-2017With its location and design, the ferry terminal marks the first step in the development of a brand new district in Stockholm that will innovatively integrate city and port.A landmark you can sit on top of The terminal resembles a cross between a departing ship and the surrounding area’s architecture of cranes, warehouses, etc.“The main idea was to create a vibrant urban environment at the port with a unique urban space catering to both travellers and local residents of Stockholm with a public park on the terminal’s roof. The terminal is thereby a public attraction and an efficient traffic facility where car traffic and a fluid overlap between passenger terminal and quality urban life intertwine and become one,” says Mads Mandr...
