Arriyadh Western Metro Station

In an era of revived interest in downtown and car-less transit, Arriyadh Metro Western Station is much more than a place to board a train.  Omrania’s goal was to design an intermodal transit hub that appeals to non-transit users.  This new iconic nexus links buses and the city's light rail system; it is home to a vegetable marketplace, and it embodies the culture of the city and creates real estate value at the same time.   Covering 112,500 square meters, the Western station is both an architectural masterpiece and a multifunctional transit and social hub. Its design draws inspiration from sand dunes along the southern border of Riyadh, expressed through undulating forms and striking three-way curved roofs and fa&ccedi... More

Campusbridge Hasselt

Campusbrug Hasselt: A Luminous Connection for Cyclists and PedestriansThe city of Hasselt welcomes a new landmark to its urban landscape: Campusbrug, a 410-metre-long pedestrian and cycle bridge crossing the Grote Ring. Combining architectural elegance, accessibility and carefully considered lighting, the bridge creates an important connection between university campuses, public transport and urban amenities. Architecture and StructureCampusbrug is characterised by its slender, graceful steel structure, which gently winds through the existing urban context. The design team sought to create a lightweight intervention that respects its surroundings while preserving the existing plane trees along the route. With a low gradient of just 3.2%,... More

Völs Regional railway bridges

Competition 2023, 1st place. In planning. A pair of bridges as a building block for sustainable mobility development—across Innsbruck and the surrounding area by tram. The concept focuses on the construction of two new bridges as elements of Innsbruck's urban development, to realize a continuous tram network from Rum to Völs, spanning a federal highway roundabout and two banks of the Inn River. Lucas Reisigl, OSTERTAG ARCHITECTS The supporting structure of the bridges is derived with minimal gestures from function, position, and the surrounding urban and topographical structure. The city does not end here, nor does it begin here; the bridges each mark transitions of an expanding urban body. Lucas Reisigl, OSTERTAG ARCHI... More

Mobility Company

Because their current office became too small, this mobility company, decided to move to Amersfoort. A perfect moment to find a location that radiates what they do: ‘making mobility easy’. They found a perfect spot: an office near the train station! We did not design an average office, but an office that feels like a New York loft, including the industrial atmosphere that goes with it. An office where the team feels at home and where they can proudly welcome their customers. What this looks like? We started with a refreshing combination of homeliness with an industrial character. And of course you will find items in their interior that reflects their link with mobility. For this we came up with some fun gadgets, such as bicycle... More

Rouen station area

A major transport hub Rouen Rive-Droite station is a major regional transport hub with over 6 million annual passengers, located in the densely built-up historic city centre of Rouen in Normandy. The station area today operates as the most important gateway to the urban region, but with its many extensive carriageways and disorganised public space, its character has deteriorated and the space forms a barrier to key pedestrian connections. It has undergone a drastic transformation to develop connections with public transport and to improve their accessibility.  The project was completed in October 2019.   An attractive entrance to the city OKRA has transformed this fragmented and car-dominated area into an attractive and p...
