Modern bathroom

This minimalist one-bedroom apartment is a pied-à-terre for a couple who split their time between New York and Florida. Prior to the renovation, the apartment was dark, despite four west-facing windows along Central Park, so a primary goal was to make the space feel lighter and brighter. Conceptually, millwork volumes - rather than conventional partitions - read as floating objects while delineating the different spaces. This helps stretch the perception of space to the apartment’s perimeter walls. Inspired by the Scandinavian barn vernacular, this Upcountry Maui cottage and barn for Cloth and Goods' Melissa Newirth and Crossing the Threshold's David Johnson provides a peaceful minimalist retreat and respite for family gatherings.  The 1,000 sf. long and low main cottage is sited to capture both mountain and sea vistas while the adjacent barn is designed to hold large family gatherings and act as a seasonal residence.  Caption More

This two storey, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home has generous sized rooms including a large upper floor retreat and terrace with views to Perth city skyline to the north. The north facing yard includes a retained existing swimming pool, lawn area and landscaping. A large modern open plan kitchen, living, dining area opens on to a covered patio. The double volume entry stair hall features a steel and timber stair with a two storey stone clad wall and frameless glass details. More

The design concept - the house as a "family unit". The design of the house is warm and cozy with a welcoming and pampering atmosphere, with an aesthetic and loving attitude to every corner of the house. The plan underwent a total change to maximize the potential of the apartment, by merging functions that allowed more spaces to be gained from spaces with more parquet storage space. The house was designed in modern lines with pastel colors and natural materials. The wooden floor is folded and envelops the walls of the house and provides a warm backdrop to the presence of minimalist furniture and complementary items.
