Design for Dissasembly in modular design

Modular construction is currently one of the most efficient and sustainable building methods on the market. At JYTAS, we focus specifically on Design for Disassembly (DfA) as a central part of our approach to circular construction. This means that, even in the early design phases, we consider how buildings can be disassembled, reused, and rebuilt without compromising on quality, architecture, or functionality. With increasing demands for documentation, CO₂ reduction, and overall cost-effectiveness, it is no longer enough to build quickly and energy-efficiently – as we already do. Buildings of the future must be adaptable, convertible, and reusable. That is why DfA is a crucial method when we want to ensure that resources are utilized... More
