Multifunctional Sport Hall in Tessin
The construction of the new Sport Hall becomes an opportunity to create a gathering place, a landmark along the Melezza River floodplain park that is in fact the main public space of the three villages recently aggregated into one municipality. It is not just a gymnasium but a covered space, a theater, a hall in the middle of the woods, a rooftop in the clearing. The forest becomes the main façade and theatrical backdrop of the building, filtering the passage of light by regulating the radiation in both winter and summer months, and actually defining the depth of the interior space. The 2023 Serpentine Pavilion is an invitation to gather around a table
The 2023 Serpentine Pavilion is a design by French-Lebanese Paris-based architect Lina Ghotmeh. Inspired by the architect’s Mediterranean heritage and memories of passionate discussions around the table, on everything from personal dreams and aspirations to current affairs, the Pavilion is aptly titled À table. It is described by Serpentine as “a French call to sit down together at a table to engage and participate in dialogue while sharing a meal.”

A House: Multigenerational Living
‘Devoid Sensation House, is a modular pavilion. This is a flexible space that can not only be used for many different purposes as a family grows and contracts, but can also be erected in different locations. The additions are constructed from a kit of parts CNC’d from OSB, which could be mass manufactured. These structural OSB elements are assembled to create elegant C-shaped modules that are enclosed by glazing. Combining them can create pavilions of different lengths depending on the required use – in its smallest guise two units are connected to form a 22 sqm addition. Internally, moveable built-in furniture allows the space to be easily transformed into many arrangements according to the unit’s required function.... More
