Triangles House
Triangles House is being built on a site in Nova Lima (MG, Brazil) where there are no native plants: the land is a forest of eucalyptus and casuarina trees with grass and ornamental plants.
The house has three bedrooms and, like our Cerrado House, has a swimming pool on the terrace that serves as a roof for the veranda. The parti of the house is quite simple, a rectangle. However, the purity of the rectangular geometry is broken by two elements: the two staircases leading to the terrace. They function as diagonals that divide the rectangular box, generating triangular and trapezoidal geometries and inviting the user to climb up to the terrace-pool esplanade.

The Menasha High School project disproves the theory that existing building renovations cannot achieve the same modern, flexible and dynamic impact as new construction. Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) helped guide the District through a comprehensive process to align the facilities with modern education and implement personalized, collaborative learning practices while preserving the historic character of the building. Sun Prairie Area School District
As one of the fastest growing communities in Wisconsin, Sun Prairie Area School District’s existing seven elementary schools had reached capacity. As a result of a facilities study, it was determined that two new elementary schools were needed to accommodate the continued enrollment growth. The schools were designed around four drivers – Learning is Central, Diversity, Authentic Engagement and Leaders of Innovation – and resulted in highly flexible environments where learning can happen anywhere. With increasing maintenance costs, Menasha Corporation’s aging headquarters no longer supported the company’s culture or business model, hindering retention and recruitment. Bursting at the seams due to growth, it was clear Menasha needed an innovative solution to exemplify its local and global presence.Within the 101,300 sq ft new facility, the office is open-plan, greatly enhancing the potential for collaboration and workplace efficiencies.
