Set in Calgary’s vibrant Sunnyside neighborhood, this compact multi-family development thoughtfully reinterprets urban densification through the lens of community engagement, sustainable site planning, and human-scaled design. The project introduces four three-bedroom rental suites—each with secure parking and dedicated Class 1 bike storage—into a well-established inner-city fabric, while maintaining sensitivity to the context and character of the neighborhood. 351 Foz Housing is a residential building with 6 apartments spread over 4 floors.Located in Porto at Foz do Douro, it has East/West orientation and is inserted in an urban area in consolidation next to the Atlantic Ocean. Access is made from the East via Rua Dr.Sousa Rosa, where the rooms, social areas and patio are located, facing the West and facing the ocean.The patio is related to the neighboring buildings, through a transition of vegetation and concrete shading elements. This off-campus college apartment building near the Indiana University at Bloomington, home of the Hoosiers, underwent a complete phased transformation. They wanted warm and inviting touches with fresh, energetic highlights that appeal to the youthful residents. Layers of bright colors, neon signs, fun light fixtures and bold graphics balance out the brick and wood architectural elements. Woven into the urban fabric of downtown Glendale through expansive pedestrian promenades and a central courtyard, Americana at Brand combines a vibrant mix of residences, shopping, dining, and entertainment.  At its heart, it has a two-acre park featuring fountains, pathways and abundant shade trees. The structure was designed as a freestanding, five-story multifamily residential building, supplementing the buildings along the main street of the city. Architects' goal was to create a project with a different approach to the aesthetics of buildings commonly constructed throughout the city. The Client's wish of providing maximum surface of balconies was achieved by surrounding core of the structure with terraces wrapping around the entire building. White balconies were chosen to contrast with the dark core of the building.
