Located on the inner coast of Palm Beach, this single-family residence was designed with an eye toward casual luxury and modern simplicity. The layout maximizes flexibility and opportunities for indoor/outdoor living. Strategic landscaping enhances street-front privacy while the rear of the house opens up to the backyard, highlighting the pool and the waterway beyond. A kitchen, dining room, and living room combine at the center of the plan, while corner bedroom suites are sequestered from these social spaces. Designed in direct response to its coastal setting on Long Island’s eastern shore, this beach house is composed of two volumes—a main living area and a separate recreation pavilion—set on a base that extends into the dunes. The northern approach presents a solid, stone-clad façade with carefully placed openings, while the southern elevation opens fully to the ocean with floor-to-ceiling glazing. This proposal seeks to provide an effective solution to the integral reorganization of the Complex of San Caetano.
