Skylab Architecture designs the new Serena Williams building at Nike World Headquarters in Oregon

Nike opened a new building to celebrate the legacy of the world-renowned sports legend Serena Williams, at its Nike World Headquarters’ (NWH) Campus in Beaverton, Oregon. Designed by Portland-based firm Skylab architecture, the new building covers more than 1 million square feet, the largest at NWH. BRAND INSTALLATIONS FOR NIKE

Drawing on the heritage and foundational stories of the legendary sports brand we created a collection of brand installations for the new Nike office in Beijing. The pieces were designed under the concept ‘Changing Perspectives’.DESIGN CONCEPTThe project involved translating core Nike stories, materials and techniques into new scales and contexts. Focus was placed on materiality and finding interpretative ways to represent the universe of Nike innovation. Nike - Just Did It

In 2013 and 2014, we designed promotional retail experiences in several Nike stores based on Nike’s global standards. For all of the projects, we implemented our strategy of creatively approaching a brand’s visual standards, believing that it takes more than ordinary two-dimensional tools to experience the desired message. In general, classic prints, posters and panels utilize only a small part of the promotional potential that a retail space offers. We create the positive feeling that customers experience inside the retail space by using, whenever possible, its specific layout and arrangement of elements for different forms of communication.
