Foster + Partners designs open spacious glass cube for Hankook Tire’s new headquarters

After a successful previous collaboration on Hankook’s R&D centre in Daejeon, they teamed up again with Foster + Partners to design their new headquarters in Pangyo, on the outskirts of Seoul. Time of Blue The result is a glass cube defined by a large atrium that opens up the building. The headquarters houses Hankook's offices and a state-of-the-art business centre that includes a 175-seat auditorium. Time of Blue The ten-storey office is wrapped with glass louvres at varying levels of density to moderate light coming in depending on the activities taking place inside. Long and low Wyoming house draws from worldly inspirations

High above the town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this long and low house by McLean Quinlan and Berlin Architects has an organic quality that takes inspiration from the client’s love of wide-open beach houses of New Zealand and the chalets of Switzerland. Further inspiration comes from the J.P. Cunningham Cabin, an 1880’s ranch house in Grand Teton National Park. Brownlow Road

Nestled within a sloping garden plot in South London, this discrete pavilion style house sits quietly amongst the trees.The house wraps around the boundaries of the site to create a parking courtyard to the front and private contained garden to the rear.A low lying timber clad element with a cantilevering roof contains the bedrooms and bathrooms at the front of the house. Some of the best things in life come in small packages and the recent refurbishment of a compact apartment in Fitzrovia by Roselind Wilson Design is no exception. Charismatic and well-travelled, the client wanted his London pied-à-terre to reflect his vibrant personality with bold colours, textures and some serious wow factor. From a functional point of view, the apartment needed to be able to accommodate visiting friends and family, as well as act as a welcoming bolthole for when he returned from his travels. Shearwaters

Shearwaters is a replacement dwelling in the Pembrokeshire Town of Tenby. It is located on the southern side of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The site is located at a cliff top boasting panoramic views from Tenby to the west and the Bristol channel to the south.The brief was to create a contemporary 5-bedroom dwelling that was unique but complementing of the typical pitched roof vernacular of the area.
