Mitra - Home Renovation in Jumeirah Islands Dubai
Mitra Villa is a completed renovation of a four-bedroom residence in Jumeirah Islands, Dubai. The project covers 4,553 sq. ft. and includes the entrance, double-height living hall, staircase, dining area, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.
The renovation was developed around three main objectives: to create a brighter arrival, connect the principal family spaces and establish one consistent material language throughout the house.
The entrance begins with a relatively contained foyer that frames the taller central hall beyond it. Pale stone-look flooring continues through both spaces, helping the transition feel uninterrupted. Some of the best things in life come in small packages and the recent refurbishment of a compact apartment in Fitzrovia by Roselind Wilson Design is no exception. Charismatic and well-travelled, the client wanted his London pied-à-terre to reflect his vibrant personality with bold colours, textures and some serious wow factor. From a functional point of view, the apartment needed to be able to accommodate visiting friends and family, as well as act as a welcoming bolthole for when he returned from his travels. The Mill House
The Mill House is a Grade II listed property located in Shalford village Conservation Area. The house is set within a generous 6-acre plot with stunning views adjacent to ‘Shalford Mill’, an 18th Century watermill with Grade II * listing.
The Client’s brief was to extend and remodel the house at ground floor to provide a light filled kitchen dining area that would open out to maximize the potential of the beautiful garden.
The design concept is based on a sketch of the house circa 1836 that shows a cluster of pitched roof forms which have been removed over time. The footprint of the extension is located on the original foundations of these previous structures and reinstates the historic courtyard.
