The “Hospital de Puyo” emerged as a major architectural challenge in response to a national emergency which called for the design, construction and outfitting of a latest-generation hospital facility in record time (less than one year), but without giving up on building a leading hospital. The development of a prototype for a pavilion in one of Manhattan’s parks was inspired by a practical exercise exploring parametric structures that expand the possibilities of the application of this technology. In this case, the site is a little used, central public space. The design aims to revitalize this urban void, not only through the installation of the pavilion but with a more comprehensive proposal for urban furniture and pavements that emphasize its radial structure and its geometry. The object is a part of the solved interior in a family house on the residential part in Uherske Hradiste. The entire interior is painted in monochrome shades of white and grey. Space for the location of the structure is only 95 cm wide and 5 m high. The structure takes advantage of this strange narrow-high corridor and two "strands" run out against the stairs. The object itself belongs somewhere between architecture construction, design subject and art work. Due to the technical and financial demands of the design, the organic form is designed from individual linear elements from very soft material comatex. One of the main design intents was to match the water playground into the landscape. Location and contour of the basin suited to the existing trees were based on functional-utility program developed by "Aquater". We decided to use exotic wood on the floor in front of entrance and on benches around the basin. A major challenge was to secure the basin against unwanted animals and people, taking into account influence of fence on the landscape. Fencing has also been made ​​of wood as a parametric structure based on shifted sine waves. In this way we obtained delicate characteristic elements, wchich separate the basin. The Town Council of Vinaròs held a competition for the design and construction of a restaurant and leisure area at the north end of the town’s Mediterranean seafront promenade. We decided to develop a parametric arboreal system in which all of the units were self-similar: both the structures that rest on the ground and those that rise up to expel fumes or take in light. The structures are of 3 mm painted galvanized steel, thin enough to be easily cut and folded to create a continuous hollow structural element.
