In contemporary brand context, exhibitions remain one of the most direct and powerful platforms. Large-scale spaces, immersive experiences, and strong visual narratives can rapidly amplify brand influence. Yet behind the spotlight of exhibition periods, massive amounts of temporary construction materials are dismantled and discarded, resulting in serious resource waste and environmental burden.

“Raw Threshold” by Al Borde questions what it means to be local
In Sharjah, UAE, Quito-based architectural studio Al Borde crafted a pavilion using raw materials that is both a welcoming threshold and meeting point. The project, entitled “Raw Threshold”, was designed for the 2nd Sharjah Architecture Triennial whose theme, The Beauty of Impermanence: An Architecture of Adaptability, inspired a structure that questions what it means to be local. In a world governed by capitalism, where everything is readily available and accessible, local, historic neighborhoods are often impacted, losing their identity.
The new pavilion’s design works within the limitations of locally available natural resources and is based at the Al Qasimiyah School in Sharjah.

F.O.G. Architecture designs Cycle Cycle mobile bakehouse with grain sack facades
F.O.G. Architecture has designed a somewhat unconventional pop-up cafe and bakery for a client who wished to explore a connection between food and the land. Cycle Cycle mobile bakehouse is a pavilion-like structure whose design is inspired by a traditional barn and is reminiscent of Chinese rural architecture.

BYRÓ architekti designed the garden pavilion for clients who own a large mature garden in the middle of Prague. Built on the foundations of a run-down cottage, the pavilion is a bijou dwelling that offers a modest space for shelter during inclement weather and occasional overnight stays in warmer summer months. The pavilion also provides space to house plants in the winter months, acting as something akin to a winter garden.

Splinter Society completes a smart architectural pavilion for Monash University
Melbourne-based architecture and interior design studio Splinter Society has completed the design and construction of a smart, contemporary pavilion for Monash University. Located at the university’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Parkville campus in Victoria, the Monash University Pharmacy Pavilion is an architectural canopy that extends the existing premises and provides an elevated entry. The canopy arches upwards along its northern aspect, a gesture that enhances the pavilion’s sleek, fluid form, and brightens the space adjacent to a cafe.

Corner pavilion
Corner Pavilion is located on a pedestrian street by the West Lake in Hangzhou. It is a small building designed by Dazhou And Associates commissioned by the coffee brand M Stand. The street is crowded with people, and the site which is less than 100 meters from the West Lake, is defined out by three ginkgo trees.

THE PAVILION
What matters is that it's a space where reading can take place.
The Pavillion has been designed as a modern-day folly, is constructed of timber and glass and is located on the grounds of an existing detached villa in the Algarve.
The concept was to create a small private retreat close to the existing house with views across open countryside towards the sea beyond.
The new structure is sited in a wonderfully mature setting but also in a part of the garden that was rarely used.
Subtle changes are projected onto the timber slatted façade throughout the day created by the movement of the sun and the shadows from the foliage of the surrounding trees.
