The Migliore+Servetto studio, internationally recognised for its excellence in exhibition design and the design of communication spaces, was chosen by Generali Group to design the new headquarters of The Human Safety Net. The 3000 sqm project includes the Interior, Exhibition, Graphic & Multimedia Design of the third floor and the reception spaces on the ground floor of the Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco, with artistic direction by Davide Rampello. Traveler, explorer, writer, geographer, diplomat, polyglot: Freya Stark has been a thousand woman in one. The challenge of telling such a complex personality inside the narrow boundaries of a room becomes a story in which is gathered an adventure of an entire life. Three chapters as a plot and path: the desk, her place of studies and writing down her memories; the threshold, a moment of crossing between the domestic life and the unknown dimension; the wardrobe, a sophisticated theatrical device which leads to the lands of his travels. A new history of medicine museum in one the most important city for medicine studies starting from the 14th century. The museum will be set up in the oldest hospital of Padova, dated back to 1414. This is a chance and a challenge to work in a very old, delicate setting with the best of latest techonologies and multimedia devices, mixing traditional didactic methods with highly interactive exhibits. The Chopin Muzeum is the result of an international competition. Held under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Migliore+Servetto Studio won the permanent exhibition project in 2008, amongst 32 international firms. The project is developed like an “open museum” made of different theme paths the visitors may choose to follow. The need to exhibit with clarity and immediacy different thematic areas determined the development of different exhibition structures which comprise a system of emotional landscapes and soundscapes capable of capturing the attention and curiosity of the visitors by stimulating all their senses.
