Museum Depot
Peter Pichler Architecture designs the new Kulturgüterdepot (Cultural Heritage Depot) for South Tyrol, Italy as a response to the need for a centralized facility dedicated to protection, conservation, and enhanced public accessibility of the region’s cultural assets while challenging the pre-existing architectural language of local depots developed over the years. The Cultural Heritage Depot will not only conserve over one million objects, but also increase their accessibility to the public; from artworks belonging to the Unterberger and Eccel Kreuzer collections and the Museion, to the holdings of the provincial museums, as well as archaeological finds and photographic and film archives.

Detail: Pleated facade geometry of Bonfiglioli HQ by Peter Pichler Architecture
Designed by Peter Pichler Architecture, the new Bonfiglioli Headquarters is located in Calderara di Reno on the outskirts of Bologna, Italy. The building is an expression of Bonfiglioli’s history and manufacturing know-how, something that is in part represented by the innovatory use of a custom continuous pleated aluminum mesh skin.

Bonfiglioli Headquarters

LOOPING TOWERS, NETHERLANDS
Peter Pichler Architecture won an international invited competition for the design of a new residential tower complex of 40.000m² in Maarssen, Netherlands.The new complex consists of approx. 260 apartments, parking garages, public facilities, gym and a running track on the roof. It is located on a main axis between Amsterdam and Utrecht and should act as a social “engine” in the area, which will undergo some major developments within the next years.CONCEPTPPA´s proposal for two looping towers are the result of an optimized geometry based on views and sunlight. Future Space Pavilion
The symmetrical structure is inspired by the extraordinary quality of the Renaissance proportions of the courtyard of Ca' Granda and plays with the fundamental elements of Renaissance style: symmetry, proportion and geometry. The project explores the potential of the materic presence of wood in a non-typical “building” environment as a structure that should transmit a spatial experience.
