My Front Yard

By prioritizing roof tops, open-air circulation and neighborhood planning, the project avoids the monolithic "big box" retail approach for decentralized, low-rise pavilions that invite exploration and curiosity.

Situated in front of a hillside in Phuket, the layout of My Front Yard utilizes a non-linear arrangement of buildings. By breaking the retail program into smaller blocks, Architectkidd created a series of courtyards and landscaped pockets. The Base Height
Phuket’s well-known Sino Portuguese style shophouses have been a prominent feature of downtown Phuket for generations. This sparks inspiration for the project, to create a new residential space with a sense of traditional style. By bringing outstanding characteristics into the architecture and landscape design, such as rows of shophouses, old lantern design, integrating courtyard, multi-leveled landscape, bay window, traditional building fretwork pattern, and the project’s location, we have created a unique form of architecture.

The Deck
The Deck is located within a walking-distance to the famous Patong beach, one of the most notable beaches in Phuket, Thailand. The project is a 7-storey condominium that has been separated into 2 buildings to create the maximum view of the surrounded sea and mountain and to enhance the outdoor living lifestyle among the natural environment.
In accordance with the particular shape of the site, the axis of both buildings is placed parallel to the site which points towards the Andaman Sea.
