Platowood Fraké frame wood
Platowood is great for window frames: excellently processable and suitable Fraké wood for window frames. Frame wood of Platowood is supplied pre-sanded and without profile as a semi-manufactured product, and is KOMO certified. For a uniform appearance, the frame wood combines excellently with Platowood façade cladding.
Because of platonising (hydrothermal modification), the Platowood is much more dimensionally stable and low-maintenance than other wood types. By fingerjointing and laminating the wood, Platowood ensures optimised wood for frames in easily processable lengths.

Platowood Spruce is pinewood originating from responsibly maintained forests in Northern Europe. This fast-growing softwood is FSC certified and has a lively patterned surface aesthetic.
In the Netherlands, spruce is traditionally used in basic construction, but due to the unique finishing process of Platowood (platonizing) the wood changes into a type of wood with a high sustainability and a great dimensional stability. During the platonizing process, the white-yellowish natural color of spruce wood is transformed into a beautiful brown color.

The 90 hectare Industrial Park Kleefse Waard (IPKW), purchased in 2003 by developer and real estate investor Schipper Bosch, aims to provide the ultimate foundation climate for innovative companies in Energy and Environmental Technology (EMT). The existing companies which had previously become independent of AkzoNobel served as the base, external companies were invited to join.
For the redevelopment of the industrial park, they collaborated with the City of Arnhem and West 8 made a master plan. First and foremost, it recommended a rigorous touch-up for the outdoor area.
