Multi-generational care Knittelfeld

The existing state care centre in Knittelfeld, Austria, was renovated by Gem. Wohn- und Siedlungsgenossenschaft Ennstal, a non-profit housing and settlement cooperative, for Volkshilfe Steiermark, a non-profit social services organisation. The work also includes a new two-storey care home and a childcare facility. Designed by Dietger Wissounig Architects, the project brings together the carefully upgraded existing structure and a contemporary extension to form an integrated, multigenerational complex. Disco Distancia Pavilion

Disco Distancia is a project that was featured during the Mextropoli Architecture Festival at the Los Pinos Cultural Center in Mexico City, Mexico.  The open-air pavilion pays tribute to local dance groups that gather in public spaces throughout Mexico City, but haven’t been able to practice their craft during the ongoing pandemic.  The various sculptures arranged in the public plaza project shadows into the ground creating an effect of a party which invites new visitors to join in and experience different dance styles throughout the pavilion.     Caption The main concept of the pavilion is to use shadows as a way to represent people, their body movements, and various dance styles that used to take place in p... Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo

The Museo di Storia Naturale del Mediterraneo (the museum of the natural history of the Mediterranean) is housed in the Villa Henderson, an elegant building that dates back to the end of the 18th century. Over the years, the villa has been turned into an exhibition space, to which other spaces have been added, including the Sala del Mare (the sea room).   This large hall was built specifically for the purpose of displaying a common whale found in Piombino in 1990, and its arched shape deliberately echoes that of the cetacean.
