The immense building complex, which once served as Aalborg's primary heat and power plant, has been transformed into Nordkraft. This revitalized space now hosts a wide range of activities, including music, sports, theater, art, education, tourist information, and a health center, all within the historic industrial complex. Breaking waves turbines resort The tidal pool resort is a power plant that uses renewable energy to produce electricity. Located on the coast of North-West Scotland, a popular area for surfing, water activities, and renewable energy, the resort merges tourism with clean electrical energy generation. The entire resort sits on an artificial floating platform made from clusters of hollow hexagonal ballast-like columns housing vertical dual reversible turbines that can increase the resort's area by floating and locking sections into the frame. The context of the power house is tackled with consideration of two factors: a gorge that the river has pierced, and the nearby primary school. Our goal was to bring the house closer to the people and open it for visitors. Abstract forms and geometric shapes, which correspond to natural surroundings, excite children’s imagination. The house particularly tickles sensory perception and awareness of scale and proportion depending on one’s distance and access. It looks as if it were stranded on the shore and rested there. Utile has served as an architectural consultant for local utility company Eversource at a number of sites around the Greater Boston Area, including Downtown, the Seaport, South Boston, East Boston, and Everett. Station 99, located within the Raymond Flynn Marine Park, is built to accommodate increased demand in the rapidly expanding Seaport District. Utile was tasked with creating an enclosure design that responded both to the functional needs of the client and the aesthetic concerns of the Boston Planning and Development Agency.  The Lighthouse.The project brief is to design an offshore lighthouse hotel. The design criteria address renewable energy, harnessing wave energy to generate electricity by using the building's form. The slow growth of the University of Liverpool had led to an inefficient services network and we were asked to design a new energy centre to serve the whole campus. Owing to its prominent location, we were keen to develop a distinctive building, which we termed HIP (Heating Infrastructure Project). Although we were acutely aware of a need to respond sensitively to the Conservation Area context, we wanted to reflect the building’s use through its appearance.We devised a visually striking, but technically quite complex facade, which became the pivotal element of the whole project and enables the entire building to 'breathe'. A simple box rises up from the ground, angled to face the sun. This second Boiler is a development of ideas that came up working with the first one in 2008. Continued use of mesh fence, this time as the outer layers of the facade. Getting closer you feel the textile character underlined by the buttons keeping the distance from the basic facade. All technologies have been compressed and moved indoors.
The roof of solar cells is responsible for all the energy necessary to run the plant, except for pellets and ever "padding" with oil. More

A work that transforms Amareleja landscape, where holm oaks and olive trees had yielded its place to an immense sheet of photovoltaic panels. It is materialize transformation of the lanscape (landscape gets transformed); the virgin and scattered yields its place to artificial and dense, earning constructed/urban characteristics. This vision exudes for the drawing inspiring it, where the traditional trace merges with the contemporary. The concept is a white sloping roof building that hides behind a wall. The passage ends in some large carefully oriented window spans. More
