In Itacaré, southern Bahia, where the Atlantic Forest meets the ocean in a landscape of nearly absolute intensity, Terramar House is sited with precision. Located in the Vila São José complex, the residence occupies a narrow and challenging hillside site, with a 14-meter elevation change and depth varying between 12 and 20 meters. Only about 40% of the lot was effectively buildable due to condominium restrictions and the trapezoidal geometry itself, marked by two 50-meter fronts: an upper one for main access and a lower one facing the street leading to the beach. Khao Phra Tamnak House marks SPACE | STORY | STUDIO’s first residential project in Pattaya. The project began when the owner, a real estate developer, approached the team to design only the interior spaces of a house that had already been self-prepared for construction.However, after reviewing the original design, the team recognized that the project's scale and complexity required a more comprehensive architectural approach. In 2022, Oakcent undertook an exciting project on Ke Káčatům Street in Jundrov, Brno, focusing on the structural modifications and interior design of a new family house in a row house. The project was designed to provide a comfortable everyday life for a young couple with two children, with an emphasis on functional and aesthetic improvements on both floors of the house. The original three main facades are preserved while leveraging necessary repairs to introduce a new north-facing wall for indirect sunlight and modern amenities. Located in the village of Bagergue at an altitude of over fifteen hundred meters, "La casa Roy" is a typical Val d'Aran house. In direct confrontation with the Romanesque church, listed as a World Heritage of Humanity Site by Unesco, like all the others in the valley, the project was discussed by several commissions and publics before it could go ahead. The house is set back from the main street, "Calle Major", creating a small square where the village's herds could drink. Starting from an empty lot, in a neighbourhood without a defined identity, the result of a suburban context resulting from the absence of territorial policies for decades on the outskirts of Lisbon, it's like starting a process of metamorphosis, without harming the surroundings.
