Resort Playa Granada

The project is located within an existing hotel complex in a coastal town in Granada that offers both leisure tourism and opportunities for mountain activities and cultural visits. The client sought to increase the accommodation capacity by means of a new building that, at first glance, would blend in as one more element within the existing complex, while incorporating a notable improvement in design quality and the materials used. Al Barza Resort, Oman

The Al Barza Resort in Oman has been entrusted to the MARZ Design Office by Sheikh Salim. This project is located near Muscat, on land that is away from the urban environment, set within the desert nature of Oman and characterized by diverse topographical elevations. The pattern of the topographic surface of the project site has been shaped by erosion, resulting in the formation of slopes around and within the central area, where a tributary from Wadi Alkhoud passes. A flat area has developed in the project’s central part, resembling tongues extending in all four directions between the slopes of the hills. The climate here is characterized by scorching sun, warm winds, and humidity near the coast. In these conditions, it is crucial to... More

Today, the fort stands as a reminder of the region’s storied past and rugged resilience. In keeping with the fort's minimalistic charm, the cottages are crafted to balance rustic authenticity with modern comfort. The twin-cottage layout provid... More

The spa resorts beach front

‘The Spa Resorts’ is a renovation resort project located on the beautiful beach which is considered as the attractive nature in that area. On the other aspect, the beauty of the folk culture in that region is also equally remarkable comparing to the beauty of the sea. Both attractions have become the major concepts as the architects intend to emphasize to make the mood of this project stand out, yet conform to the surroundings.  Soopakorn Srisakul Soopakorn Srisakul Soopakorn Srisakul Soopakorn Srisakul Soopakorn Srisakul Soopakorn Srisakul One of the constraints is that the side of the land adjacent to the beach has limited dimension. Magma Resort & Spa

The hotel complex is located between man-made and natural surroundings. Placed in a mild terrain near the village of Vourvoulos in Santorini, it is surrounded by traditional ’pezoules’, large areas of cultivated land that follow the altitudes and are formed with stone walls. The design approach attempts to create a built form that is created from the interplay between contradictory - complementary elements that reference the particular setting and the wider location. Organic shapes from black volcanic stones follow the curved contour lines creating a landscape that reflects the shape of the terrain. Occasionally off-white prisms that resemble the color of ‘aspa’ (volcanic ash of Santorini) appear. Christos Drazos... More

Chabahar Resort

Chabahar Resort Project is a residential-recreational project in Ramin region of Chabahar. The project’s site is located between the main road of Chabahar-Baris and the Oman Sea. The cultural, social, historical, climatic and geographical characteristics of the context, as well as the project’s program, created a number of questions that were attempted to be answered with a proper stance. Due to the wide length of the site, the east-west axis was considered as the dominant and the north-south one as the active axis of the site. The later, connects the crowded area of the Chabahar-Baris Road in the north to the silence and peace of the Oman Sea in the south like a gradient. Therefore, by locating the public and recreational progr... More
