The founders of the Burger House Bros brand are two brothers who spent their lives in Chicago and Belgrade, and who wanted to combine these two cultures through food in the way they experienced them. Design project for a modern Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Soho in London. The Lekkeray Eatery opened in summer 2022 on the ground floor of the Mobility Hub Zug Nord, a parking garage of the future with over 600 parking spaces and directly adjacent to the Tech Cluster Zug. Pfeffermint was able to win the competition for the first bistro of the family-run business in Cham and has since been supporting the Lekkeray in the areas of interior design, branding and brand reinforcement. The bright and minimalist architecture of the car park extends into the bistro with generous concrete surfaces and white steel construction elements, leading to an exciting interplay of industrial touches with the other chosen materials. When designing the interior of the new Landerik restaurant, our points of departure were the intended functions and potential of the available space, its spatial parameters, and the vision of both the client and the Landerik brand. We aesthetically emphasized the narrow and long space with its arches and high ceilings, while keeping in mind the spirit of the time in which the building was constructed. We gently illuminated the arches, and we added to their softness through round mirrors in darkish tones, which also extended the space visually.
