Songmont Qingdao Boutique shop

In August of last year, we undertook the spatial design project for the brand Songmont in the coastal city of Qingdao, where numerous waters converge. For this project, the brand requested that we use the thread of "crossing the sea in search of stones" to capture Qingdao's urban geological memory. Through the spatial design, we aimed to trace the brand's cultural tone of "natural and self-aware," seeking the power of embracing all things between the reefs and the waves. Zhu Yumeng Zhu Yumeng Zhu Yumeng The store is located on the basement level of Qingdao MixC. We believe that a retail space should function more as a cultural exhibition hall for brand storytelling. Guided by the design logic of "inward exploration," we cons... More

Sashaskvo store

The interior, as well as the brand concept, immerses guests in the world of art and beauty. The theme of theater and restrained solemnity permeates the style of the brand and the interior of the first boutique. Our main task was to create a unique style that reflects the character of the brand.  We got a completely empty room in a newly commissioned residential complex. It has two exits: to the main transit street with a large showcase more than 5 meters wide and to the courtyard, which can be used as a summer terrace in the warmer months.Practically in the center of the room there are two load-bearing walls and a column with communications that could not be touched, which complicated the layout. An area of 115 square meters is not en... More

JINS Ohtone Store

This is a plan for a roadside store for the eyewear brand “JINS” in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture. Several rivers of the Tone River system, including the Tone River, flow in the vicinity of the site, and one cannot help but feel the presence of a large river. We wanted to create an architecture that would be in harmony with this large river and its surroundings. Kenta Hasegawa Kenta Hasegawa Kenta Hasegawa Kenta Hasegawa Kenta Hasegawa Although the road in front of the building is a new road developed through land readjustment, it is planned to leave a certain area of land from the surrounding rivers and old waterways, so that the shape of the building inevitably gives the impression of a natural river... JINS Mitomotoyoshida Store

The site is located in an area surrounded by large commercial buildings. Since it is not located along a busy arterial road, we envisioned relatively slow vehicle movement and walk-in customers from the spacious open-air parking lot.Surrounding stores are single-story buildings 7 to 8 meters high.  Caption The design was based on a single-sloping roof to accommodate the speed of cars and people. The facade of the store has a single-flow gable face. The south side of the building is used as the entrance to the store, and a large wall runs through the interior and exterior of the building, allowing for beautiful natural light and a pleasant sense of seasonal change. We think that one of the raison d'etre of a roadside store is that... JINS Hikone Store

This store was planned as a new model for a community-based roadside store for eyewear brands. Daichi Ano The site faces the main road along the shores of Lake Biwa, giving it an overwhelming sense of scale, and is located in a corner of the parking lot of a large commercial facility. Daichi Ano The site is positioned as a large park overlooking the Lake, which is called "Mother Lake" by residents and is the largest in Japan with a long history and whose existence is deeply respected by the surrounding communities. Daichi Ano Therefore, we aimed to create a store that blends in with its surroundings like a pargola in the park, where customers can enjoy encounters with eyeglasses while being surrounded by rich nature. BASEYARD TOKYO - OSAKA

Baseyard Tokyo is transmitting things and things as a new culture of all genres. In the shop design of the project, which will be the first store in Osaka, we designed it as a space that combines economic efficiency and functionality while retaining the facilities and sections of the existing store. A wall fixture system was adopted to accommodate a variety of displays, and the basic wall surface was finished to make use of the expression of the gypsum board and screws that are usually used as base materials. The counter is LGS, the façade is mortar, and the fixtures are made of SUS base material to form the space. Norihito Yamauchi Norihito Yamauchi Norihito Yamauchi Caption More

MJA Studio reinstates a neglected Local corner site into a vibrant community space

Australian suburbs corner stores have long been communal spaces than mere public utilities; they not only encourage walkability but also offer the residents a place to interact and socialise. With the overtaking of commercial supermarket chains and petrol stations, the neighbourhood lost its zestful character as a public space. Therefore, to revitalise this neglected corner site, a passionate local of Mt Lawley collaborated with MJA Studio to design a mixed-use project to enrich the area.  Jack Lovel The project, Clifton and Central, seeks to celebrate the unique heritage of Mt Lawley and create a place which goes beyond housing by integrating it with open communal spaces. The building comprises fifteen apartments and six com... More

Perona Retail Store

Sitting within the retail landscape of a mall in Saket, New Delhi, the design for Perona’s new store is an attempt to usher in retail and outreach in the post-pandemic world. The project explores what might be gained from the convergence of two value systems that are often considered at different ends of the spectrum — culture and shopping. The aim was to create a distinctive and edgy space for the Perona brand. In doing so, the store doesn’t simply display clothes but is a pop-up aimed at catalyzing the transformation of retail and fashion into an immersive experience. Jeetin Sharma The design is derived from exhibition spaces, which display a thought, not a product. It builds on the concepts of modularity, flexibil... More

ASADO variety store

Asado is a variety store selling Japanese imported products in Shandong Province. It is a design condition to display large quantities of goods such as stationery, cosmetics, miscellaneous goods, and food in the store. The upper of the space became an important point of the design because the portion below the eye line is almost buried by goods.   The upper design of the space has three functions. -1. Appeal to someone walking outside -2. Guidance of visitor's gaze -3.Signage for goods classification   The large roof from entrance to the inside of the store is characteristic of design. This roof produces the effect of the appeal to someone walking outside, and draws the visitor's gaze into the inside, and induces the visit... More
