Sunset Park
Located on a quiet street in Santa Monica, Sunset Park was to be built on the existing footprint of an abandoned late 1960’s tract home.

The goal was to create a project that was modest on the exterior but spacious and minimal on the interior. Interior walls were removed in order open up large gathering spaces. The living spaces are all connected by a large vaulted ceiling with large skylights that embrace natural light. A small addition was added in the back of the house to accommodate a new master bedroom which is identified by vertical grain cedar siding, framing the backyard deck. Colourful Clover Park restrooms in Santa Monica dispel negative perceptions of public toilets
In collaboration with DN + A, Architecture and Design, Pleskow Architects completed this public restroom replacement for the City of Santa Monica in California. The colourful and dynamic structures replace two 30-year-old rundown facilities.

Situated adjacent to the Santa Monica Airport, the restrooms are located in Clover Park, a local park providing much-needed urban green space. In addition, the park is a popular hub for local volleyball, baseball, and soccer leagues.
