Mies van der Rohe 1:1 Model Golfclubhaus

In the summer of 2013 Robbrecht en Daem architecten realizes a temporary pavilion based on a competition design by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe from 1930. The design, a clubhouse for a golf course in the gently rolling countryside around the former industrial city of Krefeld, Germany, was never built at the time it was designed. Christiane Lange, art historian and curator for ProjektMIK, invited Robbrecht en Daem architecten to design an objet d'architecture on the basis of the unpublished historical sketches of the project that were found in the Mies van der Rohe Archive (MoMA) in New York. The new exhibition and brand experience building dedicated to the art of writing by the firm Montblanc and designed by Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos, opens its doors in Hamburg (Germany). Montblanc Haus is a new exhibition building dedicated to the art of writing that is located next to the current Montblanc manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Hamburg in Altona. The project by Nieto Sobejano, winner of an international competition in 2016, is conceived as a 100 m long volume that evokes the historical shape of a writing instrument case that conceals within a complex sequence of spaces over three levels around a unique zenithally illuminated foyer. Haus der Berge. Vertical Wilderness

The main topic of the exhibition in Berchtesgaden is the highest vertical of the Eastern Alps. It is a virtual line of 2300 m from the bottom of the Königssee to the peak of the Watzmann. The accessible and interactive landscape panorama leads the visitor through four alpine habitats: Water, Forest, Alm and Rock & Karst.
