The Nikola Tesla school complex in Novi Banovci, Serbia, is a distinctive example of contemporary architecture, bearing the signature of Studio A&D Architects.The project essentially consists of two renovated buildings - the existing school unit and the sports center - which were unified through the addition of a new, third school building. "Light" is the origin of enlightenment, the source of truth. It spills from the heavens, coalescing at the heart of the library, forming rings of knowledge that ripple outwards like concentric circles. Design Action This light not only illuminates every corner of the space but also symbolizes the wisdom and revelation bestowed by the divine, guiding students to find their direction within the vast sea of books. The river of knowledge flows gently and continuously, winding through depths and twists, as if countless streams converge to weave a vast river of wisdom. Shelves meander like riverbanks, filled with abundant collections, cleverly dividing space to weave a three-dimensional map of learning for students. The "MriyDiy" School is located in a new micro-district developed on the site of the former "Polyaron" plant, which had long ceased its operation. This area had been neglected for a considerable time and required revitalization. Ried-Brig is small village situated along the road that connects through the Simplon Pass, the Canton of Valais in Switzerland with Italy. Its small and picturesque historic city-center was during the last decades circumscribed by a natural urban expansion. Although it has kept its attractiveness it has lost its centrality and significance. The project site is situated at the entrance of this historic city center and encompasses the village school premises, a parking lot and a sports facility building. Al Lisaili in Dubai is the first public school developed in BIM - Building Information Modeling - by MOID, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of UAE.The layout derives by prototype project for Schools for UAE developed by UPA Italia by Paolo Lettieri Architects and UPA in JV with General Planning in 2009. The original project of School for C1 Cycle was developed for 1000 students. MOID built several of these across all UAE. The existing library consists of a large information desk and a bookshelf. It was a more concentrated space for storing books than for users to stay. First of all, the size and arrangement of the information desk were adjusted to secure a reading space and allow various types of reading activities to take place. The Fiches district in Lausanne is structured by a morphology of plots deployed like a roll of the dice on the territory and made up of sectors. FEDERAL Studio The school site occupied one of these sectors, according to the competition program. The architects decided to take the school out of the established morphology, specific to housing, to affirm its status as a public building. They proposed to split the program and take the opposite of the established implementation. FEDERAL Studio Thus, the school asserts itself as a "pivotal building" at the center of the site.
