Teachers’ Lounge “Samochodówka Wejherowo”
The Teachers’ Lounge project at Powiatowy Zespół Szkół nr 4 in Wejherowo is an attempt to redefine this type of space within the structure of a school. Instead of a traditional administrative backroom, the result is an environment that supports work, relaxation, integration, and relationship building.
The inspiration came from contemporary workplaces, hotel lobbies, and cafés. These are places where users can move naturally between focused work, meetings, and regeneration. The goal was to create an interior that allows teachers to temporarily step away from the rhythm of everyday school life and experience a higher level of comfort and wellbeing.

“Light is lightened up everything” is the message we wanted to deliver. Recessed downlight with warm yellow light, yellow that decorate space and yellow chairs; we put different yellow to light up everywhere. The curved line linked the whole space and the light follow and spread out; light is on everything.

The kindergarten is on the ground floor in a building. It lacks privacy. In the new planning, we used striped glass to separate the entrance and put on a sign. It allows the sunlight to get through and keep the privacy. There are yellow, blue, white cabinet to showcase the kids’ work.
