The idea behind the project was to transform a former Soviet Union office building into a modern, environmentally friendly educational space for the Green School. This project reimagines what was once a stark and imposing brutalist structure, turning it into a vibrant environment that fosters learning, creativity, and connection with nature. At Lumit High School, you can enjoy great theatre performances, experience a sense of belonging and togetherness, as well as listen to spontaneous music performances during break times. The Kuopio Art High School, which has moved into a new building, is a nationally significant contribution to teaching and learning of the performing arts. The 600-student high school specialises in creative subjects such as music, dance and expressive arts. 01 Intervention Hangzhou Gudun Road Primary School, built as the Liangzhu Cluster northwest of Hangzhou is positioned as a 36-class public primary school. The southwest and southeast sides of the land are the main roads and secondary roads of the city and the northern, western, and southern sides of the land are used for high-rise residential buildings, forming a high-density and homogeneous urban space. Designed by NORR and Fishbeck, the new STEM Innovation Center at Wayne State University transforms what was a dated, seven-storey library into a state of the art, 116,467 sq. ft interdisciplinary teaching and learning hub. The building pushes the boundaries of what classrooms, laboratories, and collaboration spaces look like and function—aiding the university’s public research focus, while preparing students for successful careers in STEM industries.
