Shared apartments

Shared Roof is a multifunctional housing project for multiple families in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood, which no longer considers housing as a collection of isolated units, but as a structure for coexistence. Designed by Johnston Architects (JA), the project responds to rising housing costs, social fragmentation, and environmental pressures by prioritizing community, resource efficiency, and long-term livability.
