Oku House
Oku is a spatial concept pertaining to the idea of “inwardness.” It is introduced to create a feeling of depth and dimensionality in space. As one moves through it, attention is drawn inward, heightening the sense of exploration and discovery.
This inward-looking spatial sequencing supports a passive environmental strategy by reducing direct exposure to external heat and noise. Spaces unfold gradually around protected courtyards and transitional zones, moderating microclimatic conditions and reducing reliance on mechanical cooling.

Pivot house was Inspired by the clarity of direction throughout the process of design and construction of the house. From the start, the owners were decisive in their needs for their abode - a home for a family of four which includes two adults and two children in their teens.
