Architects Francesca Morsiani and Mujgan Merve Rinaldi designed La Mini with a proposed location in Nevsehir, Turkey surrounded by mountains. The rectangular structure is clad in dark brown vertical panels interspersed with floor-to-ceiling windows for a sleek, minimalist exterior. _UVISUAL The design idea was to create a small, efficient and welcoming house. Considering the growing and educational environment for the kid, the owner couple bought this two-bedroom project located right in the city center.   Being very particular about aesthetics and home design, the couple hopes this space a warm and well-designed residence. Thus, for the overall color scheme, we choose relaxing green, warm gray and wooden elements as layout, and then use different materials to create and build a sense of delicacy.   The designer uses a grid-style ceiling to decorate the porch, building a strong three-dimensional layer. With the simple demolition of two walls, it was possible to completely review the internal distribution. The design choices in fact aimed to make all the rooms, originally dark and not very spacious, brighter and optically larger. The rounded shapes make the passage areas more fluid and the four materials used - brass, lacquered, quartz and oak - follow a compositional rhythm and precise geometric relationships to achieve harmony. Valtournenche, at 1500 meters above sea level, is famous for its skiing facilities that connect to Cervinia. The typical local house is very low, extremely small in size, completely covered in wood and with warm and feeble lightings. Externally it is possible to find the typical combination of gray stone and wood, of which the local vernacular architecture "rascard" is an exemplary case. The project, instead of enclosing itself in a wooden cocoon, brings into the interior this strong relationship of splitted stone and honey wood. This beautiful lakefront oasis, known affectionately as The Narrows, lies just a few miles outside of downtown Austin. The owners insisted on a simple, humble, yet unique cabin to host their family gatherings and quiet weekend retreats. ​ This small cabin, nicknamed ‘Cousin Cabana’, needed to host multiple programs in a small space while maintaining a sense of openness. Hidden in a large tree plantation in the suburbs of Hangzhou is a prefab prototype house that the wellington firm Bonnifait + Giesen designed in collaboration with Jimu, a Chinese design and manufacturing company.MiniHut feels grander than its 36 square metres, thanks to a high stud that contains living areas in the main volume and sleeping areas on a mezzanine. Additional modules, meanwhile, have been designed to serve as entrances, utility sheds and covered decks.
