FVS home office

Mind the gap, appearing massively with concrete facade impression interspersed with lines on the fence and the walls with gaps. Visually, the gaps become the analogy for pause, breathing, and release. The gaps function as the entrance for direct sunlight and air to circulate and also reduce surrounding noise. Kiearch A client’s wish to create a space to accommodate their business that includes a shop, office, and coworking space has led to the idea of building an architectural work in the middle of a densely populated area with limited road access, to represent a wise, calm, but uplifting character. It is a challenge to make this building an icon in the surrounding environment, as well as an analogy for a company that stands out... More

Belsize Park 1

This is a luxurious renovation of a large detached Victorian villa in NW3 Belsize Park, North London. We were approached to transform a dilapidated property with 2 flats into a single-family dwelling. This included major works that only retained the four elevations with a new superstructure with services and a complete internal re-modelling of the property with a double garage. The brief was to create a contemporary home for a family of three with a drawing room, media room, open-plan kitchen, dining space, playroom, bespoke garden, wine cellar and five double bedrooms and bathrooms. We also gained planning for a full basement development below the existing footprint of the house and garden but that was never implemented. A daring double... More

Thanks to this diversity and the extensive collection of contemporary art, the hotel in Vienna’s vibrant seventh district is widely considered a hotbed of creativity. In 2014 Archisphere added two rooms with the intention of reflecting this.   Whether designed by an international architect such as Matteo Thun or a contemporary fashion icon of the caliber of Lena Hoschek—no two rooms in the Hotel Altstadt Vienna are identical. However, they all have one thing in common: Vienna’s well-known and widely praised comfort and atmosphere. Part of the goal of Archisphere’s design was to complement the colorful spectrum to be found here with a... More
