In Ancient Greek society, it was deemed a high level of heroism or greatness for those who managed to return. Designed by Studio Vice, NE Wellness in Minneapolis, MN incorporated solid wood tambor panels by Surfacing Solution in all aspects of its design.  A tambour reception desk is flanked by tambour full wall treatments and accent walls. Fes Aquapark Complex is located in a 10000 square meter site near thermal bath fountains in Fes, Morocco. In the programming phase, we studied Fes vernacular architecture, climate, politics, history, and culture. We focused on the fundamental components of Fes and tried to design by using its characteristic elements. One of the most significant concepts derived out from Fes was the Maze, which refers to the chaotic infra-structure of the city. Another concept which contributed most to the design process was the hybrid character of the Morocco architecture affected by different cultures like Barbarians, Spain and Islamic countries. The Alba Spa is a boutique hotel which captures the "sense of place" philosophy. Interior spaces inspire the local topography and culture merging the crystal blue of Pacific Ocean with the vastness of alluvial soils.   The lobby is highlighted with a waterways pattern on the floor and a simple curved reception desk. Soft tonal color inspired by the textural essence of mineral water is balanced by bursts of brown from natural wood and greens from tropical plants.   We worked with the specialist in spa & wellness to re-built completely the spa area.
