The Park
The Park The project redefines the role of contemporary public space by creating a new destination that combines landscape, water, sport, and collective experience within a single, coherent environment. Located in the southern part of Kraków, the proposal transforms a fragmented and underutilized area into a large-scale district sports and recreation center with a strong public character and regional reach. Rather than designing a traditional park or a standalone sports complex, the project establishes a layered spatial system that integrates everyday use with event-driven intensity.

Ilirija Sportcity
New capital city_Sports infrastructure_City centre
The Ilirija swimming pool with its 25-metre outdoor pool, designed by Stanko Bloudek in 1929, was dilapidated and no longer met sporting requirements. The listed entrance building was retained. In 1995, the new capital city of Ljubljana decided to build an Olympic 50-metre pool with additional infrastructure. Unlike in many cities, the new Športni Park Ilirija was built in the city centre – a sustainable decision that significantly reduces traffic and celebrates the national importance of sport.

Fabio Mantovani - Pietro Benedettini
A building with a fluid, reflecting form, designed by the TECO+partners studio to replace the old Palalido, the historical building in Piazza Stuparich, an arena sentimentally linked to basketball and the home of Olimpia Milano, but also the backdrop to rock concerts by The Rolling Stones, Rockets and The Police.

A highly recognizable identifying shape characterized by the elliptic roof in steel and polycarbonate, which lands in the context of the Lido di Milano like a UFO from other worlds. This alien appearance contrasts delibera... More
