When Gabriele Rigamonti, Carla Scorda and Vittorio Turla of Studiocharlie presented the wooden chair they had designed to Billiani, the prototype was orangey red and its name was Aragosta, the Italian for lobster, due to the imposing seat and tapering legs. Thus began the partnership between these Brianza-trained designers and the know-how of the Friuli district. The Aragosta chair, as well as the armchair, are the result of highly skilled technical procedures such as the seat being refined at the front and the thin and slightly tilted backrest, suggesting liveliness and dynamism. A complete furniture collection developed together with two outdoor design specialists, Harry&Camila. It includes a stackable chair, a stackable lounge chair with or without armrests, a stackable chaise longue and a lounger on wheels. They have epoxy-lacquered aluminium frames for outdoors while upholstery is in polyester rope or interlaced straps in the same material, for a textile and technological effect. The frames and upholstery are available in beige, brown, anthracite grey and black to provide tone-on-tone shades or to experiment with many colour combinations.
