Fulda Rescue Control Center
In keeping with its function, the new building presents itself as a modern fire station and complements the fire station campus with the large fire vehicle hall and the rescue control centre.

The striking building is located at the intersection of the two main roads, in close proximity to the Fulda River, and obviously refers to its identity as a new rescue control centre.

Visitor Centre for the Bernau Trade Union School celebrates and reveals a celebrated Bauhaus Monument
In 2017 the iconic Bauhaus work ‘Bundesschule Bernau,’ built by Bauhaus director Hannes Meyer and Hans Wittwer, was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. To meet the demand caused by a subsequent interest in visiting the building, this new visitor centre by Steimle Architekten was constructed. The new visitor centre strikes a delicate balance between being subordinate to the Bauhaus monument, while at the same time asserting itself as a high-quality urban architectural structure.

Regularly spaced windows and deep reveals define this discrete new town hall for Remchingen
This new town hall for Remchingen, Germany was designed as a honed, pentagonal urban element with no rear sides and an architectural presence to both the newly designed market square and the two street fronts that surround. In addition to a rigorous façade made of insulating concrete, the exterior is highly distinguishable from its context due to regularly spaced windows with deep reveals.

This building’s overall design strategy, developed by Steimle Architekten, is a response to buildings in the immediate vicinity - such as the Remchingen Cultural Centre and nursing home - which are discrete, self-referential buildings that do not form an urban spatial relationship to each other.
