The project involves the creation of three apartments in an 18th-century farmhouse. The Fribourg farmhouses of that era house both residential and farm functions. The living quarters are located on one side, while the agricultural section generally consists of two stables flanking a central passageway called a fourragère, used to feed livestock. This apartment is nestled in a 1970s condominium complex situated on the slopes of the Collina in the municipality of Bissone, in the Canton of Ticino of Switzerland. To reach the entrance of the property, one proceeds downhill, as the condominium access is located on the rooftop of the building. Located in the Vaud Pre-Alps, Villars-sur-Ollon is a large, fast-growing mountain village. Chalet Françoise Romaine and its three neighbors were built in 1957 by a local carpenter. As the chalet was in poor condition and very poorly insulated, it was necessary to rethink the entire thermal envelope.
