Casa CRBN
Casa CRBN is a space where very diverse materials are able to coexist and dialog, just like the different sources of inspiration for its design, which were drawn from Eastern and Western culture alike. The architectural project focused on reorganizing existing spaces, turning this into an organic home that blurs the line between architecture and interior decor.The combination of industrial and luxurious materials – ranging from cement to wood, from brutalist finishes to arabescato marble – makes Casa CRBN a high-impact space. Catarina - Il salotto della badessa
La Badessa, literally “the abbess”, is a renowned Piedmontese-cuisine restaurant in Turin. It is named after noblewoman Maria Catarina Operti di Cervasca, a nun who left the convent for love, eloped and lived happily as a cook, then returned to monastic life in her later years. Now Catarina is back to tell her story, stopping just for a moment before her sweet and sinful escape.
Catarina, featuring a sensual upholstered bench, is inspired by traditional boudoirs and blends new elements and retro details. The historic counter fits in with vintage paintings, but is completed and complemented by a streamlined and contemporary structure; it is a monolith covered in sensual penny-tile mosaic, like an island at the center of the room... Casa TRBC
Casa TRBC was designed as a continuous interior: a single space broken up only by functional rhythm, in which living area and sleeping area merge into each other with no obstacles to overcome.
The most distinctive visual element in the project is the custom wood paneling that covers the reinforced concrete walls and highlights the continuity of the space. Added to the wall that divides the central part of the house, it transforms its limitations into opportunities: isolating the sleeping area with a large sliding door and hiding the kitchen, it amps up the living area’s flexibility. Holiday home in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites. The project is based on the place that once hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics.
